EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ, November 15, 2011 -- Management Dynamics, a leading
provider of Global Trade Management solutions, today announced that it has
changed its name to Amber Road. Derived from the ancient trading route of the
same name, Amber Road evokes images of trade throughout history and more
accurately embodies the nature of the company's business.
The name change comes during a
year of rapid expansion, marked by a 40% growth in employees, a 325% increase in
European bookings, and the opening of a flagship office in Tysons Corner,
Virginia. This breakout year is anchored by a 33% CAGR in overall revenue for
the past decade.
"We have evolved from a U.S.-based
provider of freight management software to the world leader in Global Trade
Management," said Jim Preuninger, CEO. "Today, our SaaS-based solutions span
fourteen software products that include global transportation management,
import/export compliance, supplier management, supply chain visibility and a
content knowledgebase covering trade regulations and tariffs for more than 120
countries. We also now count over 500 enterprise-class companies as our
customers, many of whom are the category leaders in their respective industries.
We're pleased to punctuate these advances with an exciting new name."
"Over the years, Management
Dynamics has established itself as the leader in Global Trade Management," added
Scott Byrnes, Vice President of Marketing. "Eager to carry those positive
associations forward into the Amber Road brand, we've initiated an aggressive
advertising campaign: 'Same Company. New Name. Still the leader in Global Trade
Management.'"
