Brazil has added a Tariff Rate Quota. The products affected by this are oseltamivir phosphate and medicines based on oseltamivir phosphate. The following HTS chapters are affected: 29 and 30.

The US may be close to pursuing a free trade agreement with Japan, according to the US Ambassador to Japan. Currently they are talking about a schedule to meet to discuss the potential agreement. Read more below from Bloomberg:

As described by the Associated Press, the US now faces $295 million annually in sanctions as a result of illegal subsidies to cotton growers. The case was originally brought to the WTO's attention by Brazil, the world's 5th largest cotton exporter. It was seen as a victory for Brazil and other struggling nations who rely on cotton as a cash crop.
