On My 6, China, Japan and South Korea kicked off a joint research project that focuses on setting up a free trade area (FTA) among the three nations. The first round of meetings took place in South Korea. The three nations will make efforts to complete the joint research ahead of the trilateral leaders' meeting of the three countries in 2012.

Duty rates have been updated for China Free Trade Agreements and Preferential Trade Agreements. The Editorial Department of the Customs Import and Export Tariff of China has published the 2010 FTA and PTA duties. It changes FTA and PTA duties to the products across the tariff schedule and also updates HS descriptions and Consumption Taxes.

The International Centre for Trade & Sustainable Development reports that 22 developing countries have tentatively agreed to reduce tariffs and other trade barriers as a means to boost trade between their countries.
