Flexible Configuration
|
Amber Road's commitment to flexibility
means that the platform and various modules can be tuned using
configuration options. Rather than altering core code with
customizations, users can choose from a range of settings, delivered via
property sheets that can be configured to meet their needs.
Important features include: |
| ▪ |
The use of comprehensive property sheets
allow detailed configurations to be preserved across feature and
platform upgrades |
| ▪ |
Configurations can be made at the org
level and inherited by descendants, or can be made at more granular
levels |
| ▪ |
User roles allow for different groups of
users to view/edit content and gain access to functionality. Pre-defined
roles are included; custom roles can also be created. Users can be
assigned to multiple roles across multiple orgs, as needed |
| ▪ |
Data validations are controlled by
configurable policies. A policy is comprised of a chained set of rules,
each of which executes some logic. These rules can be altered at the
"atomic" level and the validation rule sets can also be configured |
| ▪ |
Column, field and dashboard names can be
localized |
| ▪ |
The language of presentation can be set at
the user level or determined by locale settings. Users can have multiple
languages assigned and can switch among them |
