Earlier this month, Amber Road was pleased to sponsor the Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit hosted by the USC Marshall Center for Global Supply Chain Management. This one-day event featured global leaders across vertical markets and supply chain competencies. Industry executives shared insight on how they have managed to navigate the world of supply chain in a rapidly changing environment.

On March 16th at the Kowloon Shangri-La in Hong Kong, Amber Road (formerly ecVision) hosted the second annual industry event focusing on Global Testing and Compliance Complexity. Following the first of its kind, SourceTrends 2015 brought together leaders from the retail industry’s top sourcing and supply chain organizations, service providers and trade associations representing the United States, Asia and Europe. This all-day seminar discussed the latest trends and solutions surrounding the business challenges in global retailing.

On Friday, January 16, 2015 the U.S. trade and travel restrictions on Cuba came to an end. The Treasury and Commerce Departments issued a package of new trade regulations that will allow U.S. businesses to engage commercially with the island nation. These changes offer vast opportunities for U.S. businesses that are interested in the Cuban market.

On October 19th, a bright-eyed and eager team from Amber Road participated in the Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8k. The race supported ten local charities and Amber Road ran in support of The Reading Connection (TRC), an Arlington-based nonprofit that improves the lives of at risk children and families by linking the magic of books to fun experiences that inspire a passion for learning.  TRC was selected to participate as one of the ten charities to benefit from the proceeds of the race.

Earlier this month, Amber Road attended the U.S. Customs and Border Protection East Coast Trade Symposium in Washington, DC. The CBP always puts on a wonderfully informative conference, so it was no surprise that we came back with some great takeaways from this year’s event.
