Earlier this month, Amber Road was pleased to sponsor the Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit hosted by the USC Marshall Center for Global Supply Chain Management. This one-day event featured global leaders across vertical markets and supply chain competencies. Industry executives shared insight on how they have managed to navigate the world of supply chain in a rapidly changing environment.

Our very own Gary Barraco, Director of Global Product Marketing, opened the event with a brief introduction.

“As supply chain executives, we are global ambassadors, and it’s fascinating to see so many of us collected in one room. We are globally focused. We are focused on global trade,” Barraco said. “What we need to do today and tomorrow throughout the day is rely on our interdependencies of each other and share and network with each other.”

Speakers including executives of Fortune 500 companies and USC Marshall professors gave lectures across the campus center. Phillipe Lambotte, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Mattel, expressed the importance of agility and flexibility within your supply chain. Carlos Alberini, CEO of Lucky Brand Jeans, provided his professional insight into the impact the supply chain has on fashion retail.

Other topics included the future of digital distribution, healthcare, manufacturing and technological innovations.
