Customs has increased its focus on exporters with higher fines and tougher penalties. As an exporter, are you aware of your compliance responsibilities? Do you know how non-compliance can impact your organization?
Amber Road’s 3-day Global Trade Academy Export Boot Camp will focus on the three essential factors you need to understand when building a successful export management program: Export Compliance and Controls, Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and International Traffic in Arms (ITAR).
Day One: Export Compliance and Controls
Customs has increased its focus on exporters with new, higher penalty limits. Are you aware of your compliance responsibilities? This course covers the lifecycle of an export transaction and outlines all the key information an exporter needs to be in compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Strong emphasis will be placed on building an export management program.
All commodities, technology, or software subject to the licensing authority of the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) are included in the Commerce Control List (CCL), which is found in Supplement 1 to Part 774 of the Export Administration Regulations. On the CCL, individual items are identified by an ECCN. Join us to learn how to better classify, document, and defend any ECCN classifications.
This one-day training course provides a fundamental overview of ITAR. We will help you understand the U.S. laws and the Federal agencies that regulate the export of hardware and technology and will help provide context for how these regulations impact your business on a practical everyday level.
