Today's Featured Trade Agreement Resource is the Trade Compliance Center.
The Trade Compliance Center, the TCC, in the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration, is the U.S. Government's focal point for monitoring foreign compliance with trade agreements to see that U.S. firms and workers get the maximum benefits from these agreements.
The TCC is your one-stop shop for getting U.S. government assistance in resolving the trade barriers or unfair situations you encounter in foreign markets.
The Trade Compliance Center also gives you access to the news regarding regulatory updates for US trade agreements and allows exporters to report trade barriers they may encounter.
You can also get more information on the most recent trade agreement that the US has implemented: US-Oman, signed December 2008 :( Maybe we will get more soon.
And finally, if you are looking for research into certain countries' trade policies, the site has free access to a myriad of market research reports by country. They are a bit tiresome to read but it is a good starting point for a small or medium exporter who is looking for information on the trade policies for a particular market they may wish to enter.
My personal favorite is the listing of all US trade agreements. If you are importing or exporting to any of these countries, you should definitely start taking advantage of reduced or zero duties by utilizing trade agreements .
